We started our business 16 years ago with our first container of Travertine Tiles and haven’t looked back since. Our deeply established, trusted relationship with our supplier ensures that we receive the both the best quality and most affordable travertine tiles, cladding, mosaics, basins, and slabs for you.
In 2021, we purchased our very own Travertine Quarry in Turkey. This means that we now own the whole value chain from mountain to factory. As a result, we can guarantee the best pricing for this sought after natural stone.
Travertine creates a classic, fresh and functional atmosphere while still feeling warm and welcoming. Known for its long streaks and consistent colour, it will look great wherever you install it. It has a fibrous, marble-like texture and is available in attractive earthy tones. Therefore, it is one of the most popular building material stones.
Travertine Tiles Finishes
Honed
This finish is created by buffing the stone slightly less than the highest level. The result is a flat, satin smooth, low shine, matte finish. Honed travertine is the most popular choice for home use.
Brushed
As the name implies, brushing the stone with hard nylon or steel creates “brushed” travertine. As a result, this finish has an antique and worn look. In addition, it is less slippery in comparison to honed or polished travertine.
Tumbled
Tumbled travertine is popular in outdoor applications. The most natural finish, it has a worn appearance that looks like ancient stone. It is matte, and highly textured with rounded edges.
Filled
Most commonly, the natural holes in travertine are filled. This is done with a mixture of hardener and dust by-products from the cutting and honing process. This ensures a perfect colour match.
Unfilled
An unfilled finish for travertine refers to the stone in its porous state with natural holes. More natural and antique in its appearance, this finish is popular for outdoor applications.
